As is often the case, only seeing half of whatever it is makes me skeptical. But I'm sure if it stood out in the open, that would seem just as strange. I would agree that it is undoubtedly a fake. If they had only digitally removed the boom or whatever, it would have been an excellent hoax since it shows just enough of what seems to be an articulated puppet (giving it a wonderful sense of movement)to tease without tipping their hand.
