Halloween Project

Carved (and painted) my first-ever foam pumpkin. It was surprisingly easy to cut without all that mess that comes from a real pumpkin. While I'm a purist, I must confess the medium has its appeal.

Fabulous job, Cullan! I love your paintwork. It's given it a graphic edginess combined with the traditional.

Thanks! That's just what I was shooting for. I was torn between a classic Halloween Party kind of Jack or something a little more dark and macabre. This combined the two. He's meant to appear molded/rotted/burned, as if he's been outside for a while with many candles burning.

What size is your pumpkin? Also, where did you purchase it? And did it already come hollowed out? I have a cool project I want to start soon and I need something similar to this! Yours looks absolutely amazing!!!

It’s about 12”. Picked it up at Michaels and they’re already hollow.
