'UFO' Singer's Strange Disappearance

I pride myself on the fact that, even if I don't know the particulars, I'm generally familiar with the more interesting UFO cases out there. I have to admit: I've never heard of this little gem. With nary a saucer seen, this makes for a somehow more compelling story. The man is writing about lonesome desert hightways and UFOs in his songs in the years prior to his sudden and complete disappearance in the New Mexico desert. I'm going to need to research this one a bit more....

That's really intriguing. I love stories like that. They stick with you and haunt you. You find some amazing stuff, buddy.

Yeah, and it's not like he went out of his way because of some obession to get lost in the desert. He was on his way to Nashvilled to make it as a singer when circumstance intervened and he was pulled over, which foced him to stay the night in that town. Furthermore, I learned that both his motel key and his guitar were found in his room. Those close to him said that he would not have left his guitar behind even if he wanted to "disappear".

What a fascinating story. I can't wait to see what else you find during your research.
